Organic Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil
As a base medium we chose cold pressed Coconut Oil for it’s many health properties in addition to being an excellent transport. After making the first batch we noticed that by morning the paste had hardened just like the oil itself when left on a shelf at room temperature. We then did some research into a form of coconut oil that would remain a liquid even at lower temperatures and we found out something very, very interesting. Pure Coconut oil is liquid above 75 degrees F. (25 C.) and a solid below this temperature.
While it is possible to find an oil with these properties, often called fractionated coconut oil, MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil it is produced by removing the Lauric Acid from the oil because it has a high melting point. Coconut oil’s most dominant fatty acid is lauric acid (C12), and comprises 50% of real coconut oil. It is probably the most famous and most researched fatty acid in coconut oil, being linked to many health benefits. For example, it is a very powerful germ killer. It is also rather unique to coconut oil, found abundantly outside of coconut oil only in human breast milk. Lauric acid exhibits antiviral, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal and antifungal properties. It acts by disrupting the lipid membranes in organisms like fungus, bacteria and viruses, thus destroying them.
So we, of course, decided that if we’re dedicated to making the best tooth health product known to man it’ll have Lauric Acid and the consumer will need to decide how to deal with a tooth paste that hardens at 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
Baking soda can be successfully used to remove stains and discolorations from the surface (enamel) of teeth, thereby given teeth a whiter and brighter appearance. Brushing your teeth with baking soda removes stains caused by drinking tea, coffee, and sodas as well as chewing tobacco and smoking. Mixing baking soda and water releases free radicals from the mixture. These free radicals break down the stain molecules on the enamel, which can then be scraped off the teeth using a toothbrush. Baking soda is even more powerful when teamed up with Hydrogen Peroxide which we recommend being served on the side. For example after an application of Black to your toothbrush, sip a tiny amount of peroxide and hold in your mouth to be activated by the paste.
Food Grade Powdered Activated Charcoal
Brushing the teeth with charcoal powder aka Carbon has been common place in Asia for centuries where the health and whitening effects are well known. But here in the west, we seem to think that the medium has to be white to make the teeth white. Carbon is 100% alkaline and is spinning with electrons making the substance highly electrical. Carbon’s negative ionic charge attracts positive ionic charges (of toxins and poisons) causing them to bind and then escorts them out of the body via the eliminative channel of the intestines. Native Americans used carbon on the finger to brush.
Mint essential oil
Mint is a natural stimulant, and the smell alone can be enough to charge your batteries and get your brain functioning on a high level again. If you are feeling sluggish, anxious, depressed, or simply exhausted, mint and its derivative essential oils can help.
In addition it can help by Soothing the digestive tract and if you are having stomach ache then it can be of great help.
